London-based band KIDS have returned with another genre-bending single. ‘Worthy’ is an inventive release that darts quickly between different influences, with a bright drum pattern establishing a tight groove above a very distinctive acoustic guitar loop. They describe the track as “an admission of guilt to the negative aspects of masculinity. It talks about the self-destructive side of dating without an end goal - not being ready to commit and in the process hurting yourself and others around you because of your own insecurities.” Be sure to keep an eye out for KIDS throughout 2023; they kick things with a February UK tour supporting Bilk. -Dan Peeke.
